Over the past four years, Nashville Software School has trained dozens of would-be programmers to code in Javascript and Ruby on Rails, providing a desperately needed workforce for tech companies in Middle Tennessee. Not only is NSS a nonprofit organization specifically dedicated to improving the skills of locals for as low a cost as possible, it’s home-grown from Nashville and run by folks who know this city and its tech economy.
