Rachel-Gillig

The long-awaited sequel to The Knight and the Moth was released on Sept. 1, and Nashville is one of the cities hosting author Rachel Gillig on her book tour. The Knave and the Moon brings us back to the Stonewater Kingdom and the story of a Diviner named Sybil Delling, who is able to see visions from creatures named the Omens through her dreams. While book one focused on Delling’s quest to find out why her fellow Diviners were being kidnapped, book two focuses on how Delling challenges the new king, Benji, who is using the powers for his political gain. To celebrate the launch, Parnassus Books is hosting an evening with Gillig on Friday at Vanderbilt University’s Langford Auditorium. Hannah Whitten, author of For the Wolf and the Nightshade Crown trilogy, will be leading the discussion. Each event ticket includes a presigned copy of The Knave and the Moon.

6:30 p.m. at Vanderbilt University’s Langford Auditorium

2209 Garland Ave.
