When Nashville Zoo opened its Expedition Peru: Trek of the Andean Bear attraction, the zookeepers forgot to mention that the bears arrived media-trained. Luka — reportedly the zoo’s shyest bear — greeted an awestruck child by pressing her nose to the pool’s glass during a swim. The youngster — a 5-year-old named Ian, reportedly the zoo’s bravest patron — started to leap in excitement. Luka played along with her best imitation in what became an adorable interaction, captured on video by Ian’s dad, Patrick Parker.
