Best Titan

Of course, there are plenty of candidates for this year’s “Best Titan” distinction. Jurrell Casey and Delanie Walker have been really good players for a long time. Marcus Mariota has the athleticism, Derrick Henry has the opportunity (finally), and Taylor Lewan has the contract that could make any of them the choice. But last year’s Titans coaching staff couldn’t imagine Adoreé Jackson being on the sideline. The first-round draft pick out of USC led all NFL rookies in 2017 in the number of snaps he played (1,165, to be exact). He was a starter on defense for all 16 games and the primary punt returner, and he even got a few opportunities on offense. It remains to be seen what new coach Mike Vrabel and his staff, with their contemporary schemes, can dream up for the second-year cornerback. Jackson is likely the most athletic and dynamic player on the roster, and he will only be better in 2018 than he was last year. By the end of this season, all of the aforementioned Titans will be jockeying for a place in line behind Jackson. DAVID BOCLAIR
