Best Place to Buy an Alligator Foot in Donelson

It’s happened to all of us: You’re driving down Lebanon Road when you’re struck with the sudden need for an alligator’s foot. Who among us hasn’t desperately sought a reptilian appendage during an airport run? AromaG’s, a quaint boutique tucked into a Donelson Pike strip mall, is chockablock with esoteric items. Not just copped crocodilian claws, but candles, soaps, magical herbs, roots and other folk-magic necessities (such as what is helpfully identified on the store’s website as “hoodoo — folk magic oils”). Owned by husbands Gregory (he’s the “G”) and Roy, the store has grown from a spot at the Nashville Flea Market into the full-fledged esoterica extravaganza it is today. And what, exactly, is an alligator foot good for? It brings gambling luck — the perfect last-minute pickup before that flight to Vegas. J.R. LIND
