Best (and Hardest Working) Children’s Author

How does Nashville-based children’s author Jessica Young follow up 2013’s award-winning picture book My Blue Is Happy? She drops a cinder block on the accelerator and releases five books in 2015, including four installments of her new series Finley Flowers, which follows the adventures of a third-grade girl. (Local organization Girls to the Moon included it on their list of “Empowering Books for Girls Ages 9-12.”) Young already has big plans for next year, too — her new series Haggis and Tank Unleashed will be published in the spring.
