It may surprise a lot of newcomers, but there are still a number of large working farms in Metro Nashville, primarily in the Bells Bend area in West Nashville. Many of these farms follow organic and sustainable farming techniques and grow heirloom varieties of produce. Among these farms, one that stands out is Green Door Gourmet, which not only offers pick-your-own produce and a pick-your-own CSA, it also welcomes visitors with a playground, event barn, and farm store filled with its own produce as well as dozens of local artisanal products.
