Years after the last credits rolled in the old Melrose theater on Franklin Pike or at the Peafowl Building in Germantown, these two spaces are in the process of being reborn as dining spots. Chef Dale Levitski has brought his culinary talents from Chicago to open Sinema in the Melrose, and the renovation of the theater has resulted in a sultry space that still harkens back to the building’s former use thanks to plenty of glitz, glam and gold. The Peafowl Building was purchased by Fresh Capital Corp. with ambitious plans to open several restaurant concepts in the space, including Cochon Butcher, Little Donkey, Octane Coffee and Juice Bar.
