A list of iconic Nashville pop/rock acts probably leads with Kings of Leon, Paramore or Miley Cyrus, gradually making its way to smaller indie darlings. But locals know that the music scene extends far beyond the red carpet, with great musicians and performers doubling as parents and neighbors living non-celebrity lives around the city. For 20 years, a rotating cast of multitalented industry veterans has teamed up as The Long Players to pay musical tribute to 20th-century music’s most towering albums. Members’ professional associations include Bruce Springsteen, The Chicks and Cheap Trick, and their bias toward classic rock reaches apotheosis with their latest selection, The Beatles’ Abbey Road. Catch them two nights in a row this weekend at 3rd and Lindsley.
