The-Disco-Ball--Wildest-Dreams

The annual Kindling Arts Festival may be a couple of months off yet, but fans of edgy, experimental work still have much to celebrate this weekend as the organization hosts its annual benefit, The Disco Ball: Wildest Dreams. Far from your standard, stuffy fundraiser, this much-anticipated event promises to unleash the power of disco, transforming the Eastside Bowl into “a phantasmagoric dreamscape.” Guests are invited to don their most outrageous and imaginative outfits (sequins and sparkles are always appropriate!), and attendees can look forward to a fabulous lineup of performances from Found Movement Group, GrandmaFun, Asia Pyron and PYDANCE, Savoya Foxx, Anne Veal and Kelsie Craig, plus Seth Nathan Green and Andrew Newton (from an intriguing new musical by Madeleine Hicks and Kara McLeland). DJ Raiden will be on hand to keep the disco party vibes going strong, and there will be otherworldly projections from Anna Horzen. Kindling will also honor this year’s Queen of the Disco Ball — prolific writer, actor, director and activist Shawn Whitsell. It’s sure to be a memorable evening, and all proceeds go to support Kindling Arts Festival 2026: Utopias, which runs July 23 through 26.

8 p.m. at Eastside Bowl
