Bubblegum Theater Company is back at it this weekend, taking center stage with its third annual Pride show. As always, Bubblegum promises to live up to its cheeky moniker — “Nashville’s most beautiful freakshow” — by serving up a joyful celebration that showcases everything from music and comedy to clowns, burlesque and Bigfoot. Hosted by Bubblegum artistic director Jack Stell and the fabulous Ivey, special guests include Lane Scott Jones, GrandmaFun, TúPOC Improv, Nadia Vaeh, simp goddess, Arily Michele, Allie Thomas, Kash James, Miriam Kirk and more. Plus, Sydney Williamson has curated a cool multimedia art gallery to be presented in conjunction with the show, featuring queer and BIPOC artists such as Chase Williamson, Starr Thorne, Unbannable Books, Whois Jordan, Ember Tharpe, Kenieha Boren, Vocal Creative Studio and Charis Williamson. Buckle up, Nashville — it’s going to be a wild and wonderful ride. And best of all, proceeds go to support two very deserving nonprofits, Nashville Launch Pad and Gideon’s Army.
