Best Archivist in Nashville in 2026: Ricky Rogers
Ricky Rogers is one of the best — if not the best — archivists in town. When I previously worked at The Tennessean, Rogers always knew exactly where every photo was, and he was that person for so many reporters and photographers in the newsroom. I recognized how hard he worked to make old photos new again, often working in the newsroom over the weekends. Rogers has been at The Tennessean for 50 years, first getting his start as a photographer. Now he curates the daily’s “Nashville Then” galleries, which so many of us enjoy.
