Best Broadcast Reporter in Nashville in 2026: Forrest Sanders
I’m a print journalist at heart, so naturally, I have a slight aversion to TV news. But as someone who struggled through every week of his broadcast journalism classes in college, I also have a deep respect for the reporters who have to lug around heavy gear, find the perfect shooting location, nail their on-camera delivery and land a good sound bite — every single day. NewsChannel 5’s Forrest Sanders is one of those one-man bands. All due respect to those grabbing the headline-generating clips, but Sanders is out in the community crafting unique, compelling and often quirky news packages about local arts, history, education and more.
