The Road Trip Issue

For our very first Road Trip Issue, we at the Scene dispatched correspondents on fact-finding missions in four nearby cities — Louisville, Memphis, Chattanooga and Birmingham. What follows aren’t comprehensive to-do lists for those charming cities, but rather the Scene’s curated run-downs of where to go and what to see, with some attractions further off the beaten path than others. And if you want to tool around right here in Music City, we’ve got you covered on that front as well — see our guide to a Nashville staycation.

If you’re reading this in print, there’s a good chance you’re either amid or trying to avoid the bustle of the NFL Draft downtown, April 25-27. (You can read a little bit about the lineup for the Nashville Draft Music and Food Festival here, and for further details about draft happenings, visit visitmusiccity.com/nfldraft.) So if you’re a visitor, perhaps you’d like to know about some must-see spots in town. If you’re a local, perhaps you’re interested in getting the hell out of Dodge with a weekend road trip. Either way, we’ve got you covered.
