Nashville artist Wayne Brezinka’s playful, textured collage art melds multimedia combinations of objects and materials into an aesthetic that nods to Red Grooms while also celebrating the visual kitsch of tourist caricatures. It’s a style that might come only from Nashville, and it’s earned Brezinka a national reputation as an illustrator in publications from The New York Times and The Washington Post to Politico Europe and the Los Angeles Times. A Sound Energy showcases five portrait works, including two new pieces — a large-scale diptych portrait of Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, and original artwork created for Amy Grant’s 2026 album The Me That Remains, on loan from Grant and Vince Gill. Also on view: portraits of Tracy Chapman, Thom Yorke and Bruce Springsteen. Tickets can be purchased in advance at waynebrezinka.com.
