Artifacts from the Muscle Shoals: Low Rhythm Rising exhibit

Artifacts in the exhibit

If, for you, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum falls into the category of “downtown attraction that I’ve unjustly ignored over the years because it seems like a tourist destination,” now is your time to do away with that notion. Throughout January, Nashvillians and those in surrounding counties (Cheatham, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson) can visit the museum with a “pay what you want” admission fee. It’s the perfect time to peruse the excellent new Muscle Shoals: Low Rhythm Rising exhibit, which details northwest Alabama’s journey to becoming one of America’s foremost musical centers. As celebrations for the venerated radio show’s centennial year continue into 2026, make sure to check out Country’s Grandest Stage: The Opry at 100 on your visit as well.

Through Jan. 31 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

222 Rep. John Lewis Way S.
