Molly Barth’s collaborative Together We series will raise funds for The Store, a free, nonprofit grocery store in 12South. In addition to Barth — an associate flute professor at the Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music — the exhibit will also feature creatives like poet Ciona Rouse, photographer and visual artist LeXander Bryant, and cellist Kaitlyn Raitz. Rounding out the exhibit are plenty of names recognizable to Nashvillians: Dashon Burton, Keshia Hay, Rod McGaha, Phillip Patti, Minton Sparks and Lain York. According to a press release, the theme of the event explores “the tension between scarcity and abundance in food, culture, community, housing, resources and creativity,” asking “what becomes possible when every neighbor gives and lives abundantly in a way that assures everyone has enough.” If you have thoughts on what abundance means to you, visit Bryant’s website and record your own thoughts for the archive.
