Musicians-Corner-(2)

Widely loved concert series Musicians Corner has established a tradition of putting together some of the best lineups you’re going to see anywhere, full stop — for free, and at times that make it easy for families to enjoy them together. That continues with this year’s Memorial Day weekend extravaganza happening in Centennial Park. While there are some standout touring acts, including venerable New Jersey rockers The Verve Pipe and Philly hip-hop-and-soul duo Küf Knotz & Christine Elise, the overwhelming majority of the talent is homegrown. Among the parade of highlights, songsmith extraordinaire Amanda Shires headlines Friday’s show, following her 2025 album of revitalization Nobody’s Girl, with support including singer-songwriter Leah Blevins, who is fresh off the release of her Dan Auerbach-produced second LP All Dressed Up. Saturday’s stylings range from the bewitching torch songs of Nicole Atkins (who also has a new LP in the works) to Mariachi Viva Mexico and beyond. And Sunday your options include surf-psych-soul trio Ducky Neptune, co-star of ABC’s Nashville Sam Palladio and rocking singer-songwriter Madi Diaz, who appears in the wake of her latest LP Fatal Optimist. Don’t be surprised if she also busts out a selection from Enema of the Garden State, her acoustic Blink-182 tribute released right after Fatal Optimist as a benefit for the Defending Our Neighbors Fund.
