The Belcourt’s annual Best Picture Marathon is back with 33 screenings of this year’s nominees packed into a nine-day stretch in the lead-up to the 2026 Academy Awards. If you’re behind on this year’s mostly excellent slate of nominees, or simply want to rewatch some of your favorite films of the year on the big screen, then make your way over to our local arthouse this week. It will be especially tantalizing to get a glimpse of Guillermo del Toro’s gothic adaptation of Frankenstein or Clint Bentley’s haunting Train Dreams, both of which were Netflix productions that never received a wide release in theaters. All 10 nominees are screening at least three times apiece before the March 15 ceremony, and you can find the schedule online at belcourt.org.
Through March 14 at the Belcourt
2102 Belcourt Ave.
