A Slice of the Community Pizza Festival

You might know North Nashville native Jerome Moore as a local community booster. You also might know him as a prolific podcast host and co-host (with a list of credits including our own Nashville Scene Podcast). And you might know him as host of Nashville PBS’ public affairs series A Slice of the Community, where he interviews politicians, nonprofit leaders and other community figures about issues that face Nashvillians of all stripes. Jerome is also a big fan of pizza (I know, who isn’t), and this weekend he’ll host A Slice of the Community Pizza Festival, a fundraiser for his program featuring a stacked lineup of local vendors. Among those slinging slices at the fest will be 312 Pizza, City House, Five Points Pizza, Nicky’s Coal Fired, Pinky Ring Pizza, Pizza Assurda, Pizza Lolo and St. Vito Focacceria. There will also be opportunities to meet a lineup of award-winning local chefs, shop the wares of several vendors and participate in some kid-friendly activities (including a kids’ pizza-making station with chef and Hell’s Kitchen champ Alex Belew). Now is a particularly crucial time to support public television programming, and to do that in this case, all you have to do is show up on a Saturday and eat some pizza. Jerome really couldn’t have made that any easier for us. Get tickets and more details at wnpt.org/events.
