Heading to East Nashville arcade bar Up-Down doesn’t usually involve getting dolled up. But for one night only, the bar wants you to dress up for Up-Down Prom 2026. The all-adult (21-and-up) evening is a chance to wear that light-blue tux, buy a corsage and have the evening that your teen self wanted. There’s no admission fee, no advance tickets required — just show up dressed to the nines for a night of themed cocktails, prom-inspired playlists, classic decor and a photo booth to capture the night. If you have an old prom dress taking up space in your closet, you’re encouraged to bring it to donate to Love the Dress TN, an organization that provides free prom dresses, shoes and accessories to high school students in Middle Tennessee who may not be able to afford them. A collection box will be available on site.
