We know. We know. You don’t like to go downtown. But sometimes you should. And this is one of those times. Robert’s Western World, one of Nashville’s and Broadway’s true country-music treasures, hosts its third annual Fan Fair block party on Aug. 3. The fun takes place across Lower Broad between Fourth and Fifth avenues, so you’ll truly be kicking up your heels on Broadway. The lineup, as expected, is a head-turner, including Ben and Noel Haggard playing their late father Merle Haggard’s music; Sweet Megg and The Westernaires; Broadway’s longest-running house band, JesseLee Jones & Brazilbilly; and more. And the merch? Any Old Iron is making an exclusive, limited-edition Robert’s Western World Fan Fair T-shirt available only at the event. The all-day festival is free, but of course, you know to tip the bands and the bartenders. The party takes place from 10 a.m. to midnight, so it should be easy to fit into your schedule for an hour or two.
