Get Ready for Drkmttr Fest

Drkmttr Fest — an extensive celebration of the DIY all-ages venue’s newly federally recognized nonprofit status and a big ol’ fundraiser, with tons of music, vendor booths and more — is going down at the Dickerson Pike spot Saturday and Sunday. There are two other items you’ll want to note: There’s at least one other way you can help out even if you can’t get to the shows, and the full schedule has been released.

In addition to the merch table and community-sourced yard sale happening at Drkmttr during the fest, there is an auction benefitting the venue on the GiveButter platform. Items up for grabs run the gamut from a gift pack by Danger Zone Video to signed records from Grimey’s to a miniature version of Drkmttr’s stage backdrop to a day of recording at True Romance Sound. Bidding closes at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The Drkmttr crew has also published the full schedule for this weekend’s shows. Doors open at noon and music will start in the early afternoon on both days. The performances will alternate between indoor and outdoor stages till around sundown, when the party moves inside. Keep an eye on the venue’s Instagram for updates.
