Last week, we unveiled the third installment of our ongoing "Live in the Morgue" series, wherein local progressive country songster Sturgill Simpson performs and talks about his far-out tune "Turtles All the Way Down" from the brand-new, critically acclaimed Metamodern Sounds in Country Music. Today we're proud to share with you the second performance from Simpson's LITM. Above (or via the Scene's YouTube channel) you'll find a video of Simpson playing "Time After All" from his 2013 debut full-length, High Top Mountain. As with all of our LITM installments, Simpson's performance was filmed in the archives (or "morgue") here at Scene HQ. Dig in.
"Live in the Morgue" was produced and directed by Anthony Simpkins, with camera operation by John Taylor and Sam White and audio by Mike Colman. It was mastered by Sam Johnson. Stay tuned for more, and see past sessions here.
