Lost in the waves of nostalgia that accompanied the announcement that Paradise Park Trailer Resort will soon close downtown on Lower Broad to be replaced by a new project by Strategic Hospitality is the fact that the annual Hot Chicken & Jorts fundraiser will need to hunt for a new venue. For years, this decidedly lowbrow party has been sponsored by Jubilee Beer (motto: “good beer for a good cause”), which donates 50 percent of their proceeds to Oasis Center and its efforts to protect and empower at-risk youth in our community.
Hot Chicken & Jorts party offers the opportunity for male partygoers to make a little fun of themselves by growing out their 'staches and mullets, and cutting their jeans off above the pocket to create a pair of Daisy Dukes to show off what God gave them. For Hot Chicken & Jorts X, the event is going prime time, kicking off the party at 7 p.m. Friday, July 6. Your $20 general admission ticket includes all-you-can-eat hot chicken and tater tots, live music and all the tomfoolery. A $50 VIP "Haute Chicken & Jorts" ticket level includes rooftop access, complimentary craft beer and wine upstairs, all-you-can-eat hot chicken and tots, live music and the aforementioned tomfoolery.
A full 100 percent of ticket proceeds go to Oasis Center, so buy yours today at the Hot Chicken & Jorts Facebook page.
