As the founder and executive/artistic director of FALL Productions, Rebekah Hampton Barger has used movement and dance to explore everything from identity and personal trauma to chronic pain, hope and resilience. But with her most recent project, Where We Meet, she was inspired by real women’s stories of addiction recovery. Presented in collaboration with Healing Housing — a wonderful nonprofit recovery housing program for women — this original aerial and contemporary ballet performance offers “a powerful glimpse into the healing journey while transforming stigma into understanding.” Directed and choreographed by Barger and Skyler Meadow Levine, the show’s cast includes Levine, Mel Allen, Autumn Wegner, Allison Hardee, Marisa Pace, Molly Robinson and Asia Pyron. The piece also features an original score from Jon Epcar, an accomplished musician and songwriter who has worked with everyone from Bono to John Legend and Rihanna. Touching on themes of healing, connection and transformation, Where We Meet promises a powerful experience. Best of all, proceeds go to support the vital mission of Healing Housing.
