This week, a new edition of the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Songwriter Session program features Carter Faith, a major label upstart who made waves last year with her cinematic debut album Cherry Valley. The hourlong program typically features an acoustic performance with behind-the-scenes stories about the songwriting process. Attendees should expect a few tales from the making of Cherry Valley and Faith’s follow-up deluxe release, Cherry Valley Forever, which debuted last month. On Cherry Valley Forever, Faith doubles down on her breakout album with the help of a few friends: Oklahoma troubadour Wyatt Flores joins on slow-burning number “Nothin’ Better to Do,” while Laci Kaye Booth and Baby Nova help deliver a fresh take on anthemic badassery with “Pearl Handled Pistol.” Those wanting to attend the event will need to purchase a ticket to the Country Music Hall of Fame for the day of the show and join the Songwriter Session waiting list at countrymusichalloffame.org.
