Kayce Laine

I’m a devotee of Kayce Laine, a sound healer who offers sound baths around the city, including at Soho House Nashville, with the Nashville Symphony and at the Frist Art Museum. In a sound bath, gongs and crystal bowls vibrate to reproduce a relaxing environment, and do so in a way that my type-A brain doesn’t wander to my next task. So I was happy to hear she is bringing a sound bath back to the Frist’s auditorium, a venue with a high-quality audio system that Laine says makes the meditation a more immersive experience. Laine offers enough context at her sound baths to get you started, but not so much to interrupt. Bonus of the Frist being the venue: Parking and gallery admission are included with the ticket price. The auditorium space itself is expansive yet fairly soundproof, so you’ll forget that you’re in the middle of downtown Nashville, Laine says.

6:30 p.m. at the Frist

919 Broadway
