On Friday, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will unveil Roger Miller: Wit, Wisdom, and Wonder, a new exhibition that explores the life and career of the late country-pop superstar. A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Miller rose to prominence in the 1960s on the strength of crossover hits like “King of the Road” and “Dang Me.” He won 11 Grammy awards, hosted his own network television show, appeared in films and television series, and won a Best Original Score Tony for his Broadway musical Big River. On Saturday, museum writer-editor and exhibit co-curator Erin Osmon will lead a panel discussion about the celebrated singer, songwriter and humorist that will include three people who knew Miller best: his wife Mary Miller, his close friend Bill Anderson and his former music director, bandleader and pianist Randy Hart. “One thing that was important with the panel is to bring Roger into the room because he’s no longer with us,” Osmon tells the Scene. “So it is going to have a video component — a compilation of some of Roger’s television appearances in the ’60s and ’70s … and then there’s lots of archival photos and some audio to help aid the discussion.”

2:30 p.m. at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Ford Theater
