Daily Life in the Shadow of Ice

Authoritarian states share certain DNA: surveillance, intimidation and a profound daily impact on the minds and experiences of certain targeted peoples. Nelson Núñez, an immigrant and agricultural labor organizer, has seen such regimes at work across the American continent, from his home country of Honduras to his new home in Nashville. Núñez will speak about his life on Saturday at Dozen Bakery as a special presentation of Outside the Frame, a zine about his life. Admission is free, but donations will benefit Workers’ Dignity (Dignidad Obrera), an economic justice center on Nolensville Road that has been advocating for workers’ rights in Nashville for more than 15 years.

5-6:30 p.m. at Dozen Bakery

2522 Grandview Ave.
