Hard-to-find seasonal ingredients are the cornerstone of many kitchens. On Thursday, local chefs and mixologists will be playing with Thin Mints, Samoas and other beloved Girl Scout Cookies as the limited-supply ingredient du jour. They’ve been tasked with making a cookie-inspired dessert, appetizer or cocktail as a fundraiser for Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee (GSMIDTN). In addition to the themed eats and drinks, there will be an exclusive historical exhibit from GSMIDTN’s archives. Culinary partners include City Winery, The Loveless Cafe, Southbound Tequila and others. Tickets can be purchased online, and proceeds from Outside the Box will provide funding to make Girl Scouting accessible to all girls. Because of the unlimited alcohol, this is a 21-and-up event. Leave your actual Girl Scouts at home.
