Hannah Montana: The Movie is the vehicle for one of Miley Cyrus’ great masterpieces, “The Climb,” and my personal favorite Taylor Swift secret song “Crazier.” But what the new viewer may not expect is the film’s heartfelt exploration of a personal sense of place and identity. Yes, Hannah Montana is that deep. The Disney movie could also count as a Tennessee tourism film, with scenes filmed at the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Rutledge Falls in Tullahoma, Franklin High School and The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville, among other locations. When I’m driving around in Williamson County — the home of the real Miley Cyrus — I can’t help but imagine my horse named Blue Jeans is just around the corner. The second installment of this year’s Movies in the Park slate (an annual series brought to you by Scene’s events department) will be enhanced by a large collection of food and dessert trucks, games and giveaways. I only hope we all do the “Hoedown Throwdown” together. Admission is free, and activities begin at 5 p.m., with the movie set to begin at sundown. Come back June 18 for Zootopia 2 and June 25 for Back to the Future.
