Hilary-Duff_luck_or_something_final

At this point, Hilary Duff is a millennial deity. Just ask anyone who was a teen or pre-teen between the years of 2000-2005 about Lizzie McGuire and be prepared for a diatribe about the time Lizzie went goth after befriending an alt girl (relatable!) or the time she snuck onto the set of an Aaron Carter music video and got a kiss from the pop star (less relatable, but I do remember being extremely jealous). Ask anyone between the ages of 30 and 40 about the ancient text, aka one of the hardest lines in one of the most iconic PSAs of all time: “That’s so girl wearing a skirt as a top.” (If you know, you know.) And that’s before you factor in her pop music career, which gave us bangers like “Come Clean,” — Laguna Beach hive, rise up — “So Yesterday” and “With Love.” Despite being a meme queen, Duff is no nostalgia act. Her album Luck...or Something is a whip-smart pop album that centers the realities of adult relationships and aging. So whether you’re an OG Duff-head or along for the ride with your millennial bestie, the pop queen and actor’s stand at Ascend is not to be missed.
