Nashville has a history of taking away some locals’ favorite things. Your favorite bar? Demolished. Your coffee? Now it’s $7. Your rent? That’ll be $1 million for a half-bed, half-bath. But thankfully, some things remain. Case in point: Starland Vintage (previously Pre to Post Modern) still offers the best affordable eyewear in the damn city. There’s plenty to see in the store, which is stocked floor-to-ceiling with clothing, furniture and accessories, but the racks of $14 sunglasses in the front room are a must-see every single time. There’s a color, shape and style to match any lifestyle or aesthetic — and the price is just always right.
