Watching Destin Wade play football is like watching a geyser shoot out of the earth; you know something explosive and majestic is about to happen — it’s just a matter of when. At any moment, it feels like the Summit High School QB could break off for a 99-yard touchdown run or bomb a long pass past a tough defense. He’s as special a high school football player as Middle Tennessee has seen in a while. The Kentucky commit and Mr. Football finalist helped his team win its first state title in 5A competition back in December.
