Best Place for Activity on a Budget

Let’s face it: Nashville ain’t getting any cheaper. And whether your house is the size of an igloo or Mother Goose’s shoe, sometimes you have just got to get the kids out. You’ve exhausted ideas. Name it — admission is too freaking high. OK, maybe you could afford it for yourself. But the kids? No way. That’s a chunk of cash you’ll need for live concerts, gasoline and wine. Throw a dart at a map of the Metro parks system, and there you go. Nature is educational, entertaining and, most importantly, free. ASHLEY HEENEY
