Modesty forbids us from selecting the Scene-sponsored Movies in the Park — despite (ahem) its thousands of visitors, its plethora of families and food trucks and its easily accessible, spacious new home on the rolling fields of Elmington Park. (OK, modesty’s never been our strong suit.) So we hand over the trophy to The Belcourt’s outdoor urban drive-in, held every summer month in the theater’s side lot with attractions ranging from Savarino’s gelato to a pre-show of cartoons and short subjects. Bonus points for this summer’s Ray Harryhausen memorial.
