Cole released the video for his song “Crooked Smile,” a tribute to 7-year-old Aiyana Jones, who was fatally shot by a police officer while sleeping on her couch, New York City hip-hop DJ Jay Smooth tweeted two links: one to a story on the Jones shooting in The Nation, the other to a link to buy Balko’s book.
