Slideshow: Ag Day on the Hill 2026
Farmers, foresters and dozens of FFA and 4-H members joined state lawmakers on Beth Harwell Plaza on a cold Tuesday morning for the 2026 Agriculture Day on the Hill celebration — featuring numerous farm animals and a cross-cut sawing contest.
Department of Agriculture state forester Heather Slayton and chief operating officer Brandon Gibson, representing the executive branch, handily won the contest, sawing through a log in 32.1 seconds.
Below, find a slideshow from photographer Hamilton Matthew Masters featuring shots from Ag Day on the Hill.
