Sarah Palin Killed Davis-Kidd!!!!
Today is the big day

! If you don't have your wristband and your place in line, you're probably not going to be one of the 1,000 people who gets to see Sarah Palin at the Cool Springs Costco between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

I, for one, welcome Sarah Palin to Tennessee. I hope she stays and uses her vast hunting skills to shoot some feral hogs ("wild hogs are definitely a major threat to all Tennessee residents") or at least pumps some money into our battered economy.

What I'd like to focus on, while we're still bemoaning the death of Davis-Kidd, is this little part of the rules for Palin's visit:

-Only books purchased from Costco will be allowed into the store and must have receipt for proof of purchase
-A total of 1,000 wrist bands will be given out on a first come/first served basis
-A maximum of 2 books will be signed per wrist band (you may purchase as many as you like, however only 2 books per person will be signed)
-The first 500 wrist bands should be able to have their books signed by Governor Sarah Palin, the next 500 wrist bands will have their books signed as time permits

This means that this one Costco in this one town must have had at least 2,000 books on hand to sell to potential Palin enthusiasts (1,000 wristbands who are allowed two books a piece). And considering that they didn't limit how many books a person could buy, just how many they could have signed, we can guess that they had another couple hundred on top of the 2,000 they had for the signing.
