* According to a press release sent to us via Vanderbilt, The University of Melbourne and Vanderbilt Law School will host a debate by the name of "Are Record Labels Obsolete?" (No spoilers!). The debate will take place tomorrow, Nov. 15, from 9 until 10:45 a.m. in Vandy Law's Flynn Auditorium. The debate is free and open to the public, but if you don't feel like shuffling around campus in the morning hours, the debate will also be streaming at this link. Panelists include attorneys as well as intellectual property, tech and industry experts.

* When it comes to the local noise and experimental-improv scene, we all know that Tony Youngblood of Theatre Intangible is our resident guru. Mr. Youngblood recently posted a slew of streamable/downloadable live recordings from several performances at his place, Noa Noa. There's a recording from gallery F. in there, too. Streamable noisiness. Dig it.
