* A couple months back, we mentioned Ri¢hie, the new project from Ghostfinger frontman/Jessica Lea Mayfield sideman Richie Kirkpatrick. Well, he's turned his demos into an eight-song release called Welcome to My Dreams. As you can expect with any Kirkpatrick project, there's a bit of Stonesy influence, a bit of cock rock and a whole ton of mirth. Hear the whole thing at Ri¢hie's Bandcamp page, and check out "Nightmares" below.
* Grimy, libidinous electro duo Cherub have been playing out an awful lot in recent months, and if you still haven't taken a dip in their glistening, throbbing waters, here's a good place to start. As blogged by WOTT, Cherub has a pretty new EP by the name of Man of the Hour, and you can hear or purchase it via Elm and Oak Records' Bandcamp page. Check out "Love You Right" below. It's like if Chromeo wasn't trying to be funny.
* Ranch Ghost is another one of those young batches of Nuggets-cribbing garage rockers, and as Nashville's Dead just mentioned, they recently posted their tune "Lookin'" on SoundCloud. It's pretty Kinksy. Hear that below, and see them Nov. 19 when they play with Bad Cop, Majestico and Denney and the Jets at The End.
