Like a never-ending boss level, this year continues to present new challenges on a regular basis. One difficult task that’s on a lot of folks’ minds this week: making the decision, in light of the pandemic, not to visit family for Thanksgiving. And of course there's a bonus round — having to tell them. Though 2020 is not a year most folks would not want to live over again, there’s still a lot to celebrate, and it’s important to be able to find some joy where you can.
Enter “Eatin’ Good,” the new collaborative single from nimble rapper S-Wrap and R&B singer Stephcynie. The mellow but funky tune, produced by Joshua “Mookie” Blaylock, is all about taking stock of your achievements and finding something to be proud of.
“In spite of everything happening around us, we’re good,” stays Stephcyine in a release. “Our people are good and we wanted to talk about that. There are so many reasons to be negative right now, but a lot of us can choose to be positive. I’m one of those people.”
“During these crazy and dire times, we all could use every ounce of positivity we can get,” adds S-Wrap. “Despite how the world portrays this year, I want my family, friends and fans to know that they are loved and supported, and I will continue to speak life and positivity to highlight that we aren’t merely surviving, but thriving.”
We're very pleased to premiere the track today. Stream it below via Soundcloud, or add it to your rotation on the service of your choice via this handy link. Follow S-Wrap (Instagram, Facebook) and Stephcyine (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) on social media for more.
