Confirmed: Nincompoop Jason Aldean Wore Blackface on Halloween

It's official: Jason Aldean's judgment sucks as much as his music.

Sporting blackface as part of a Halloween costume (or just about any other reason for that matter) is a pretty dumb thing to do for anyone who doesn't want to paint themselves as an accidentally (or intentionally) racist nincompoop. And it's an especially stupid move if you're a celebrity. But that didn't stop multi-platinum, stadium-packing country music mega-star Jason Aldean from donning dark grease paint and a dreadlocks wig on Halloween, a representative for the singer has confirmed with the Guardian after days of speculation.

Aldean “dressed as rapper Lil Wayne,” said rep told the newspaper. 

Fucking wow. 

The story first broke last Thursday on country music blog NashvilleGab, which obtained and posted the above picture of Aldean, his wife Brittany Kerr and other friends garbed in gangsta chic as they partied down on All Hallows Eve. It should be noted that this story was out there for five days before the singer's camp commented on it. That includes multiple unanswered requests for comment from the Scene. I can only wonder why they stalled.
