With less than two weeks of grass-roots efforts, the restaurant response to "Eat Out for Nashville" has been unbelievable. Fifty-four different dining establishments have volunteered to contribute 50 percent of their proceeds today, Monday, May 17, to the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
It's an amazing list, as you'll see after the jump. Some of the city's oldest dining establishments signed on, as did ones that opened while the flood waters were still swirling. Our Top Chef contender Arnold Myint is even on deck. Big thank you's also to Lazzaroli's Pasta, which is opening today just for the occasion, and Patterson House, which won't be open tonight but is donating just the same tomorrow. Most restaurants are donating from their dinner proceeds, but some are doing things differently (as noted in the list below). Feel free to contact the establishments directly if you have any questions.
So get together a group of friends and enjoy a good meal somewhere tonight while you help the flood relief effort. And don't forget to thank the restaurant management (and servers and staff) for participating. Between this one day event and the ongoing relief efforts by so many other spots around town, I continue to be amazed and humbled to be associated with this wonderful community.
Get out and do some good tonight! So where are you going, Bitesters? Full list below:
