Yazoo Brewing Makes the Big Move
Yazoo Brewing Makes the Big Move

Over the past few weeks, the folks at Yazoo Brewing Co. have slowly been moving their equipment from their 910 Division St. location in the Gulch to their new campus in Madison. Like apartment dwellers trying to save money on the move by transferring one trunkload of boxes at a time in their own car, Yazoo has been deliberate about the process. But when the brewhouse and fermenting tanks were loaded on flatbeds, and the iconic tap-handle silo came down, we all knew the end was near.

Last Sunday, June 23, was the final day of operations at the Gulch taproom, and the brewery celebrated with discounts on merchandise and a lot of fond reminiscing among loyal patrons. Since Yazoo moved to the Gulch from Marathon Village in 2010, the Division Street taproom has become an unofficial clubhouse for craft beer lovers in the city. Hopefully, those folks will figure out how to get to the new facility at 900 River Bluff Drive, because that’s where Yazoo will be tapping the kegs again soon. Keep an eye on this space for any announcements of an official opening date, hopefully sooner than later.

Until then, congrats to the whole Yazoo crew on the big move. We at the Scene will sure miss having you as our Gulch neighbors.
