Touch of Brews 1

After five successful iterations in Sevier Park in 12South, the Touch of Brews music and beer festival is making a move to Donelson for this year’s edition. Echoing what Yogi Berra might have said about the 12South neighborhood (“Nobody goes there anymore — it’s too crowded”), the Grateful Dead-inspired event will instead take place on the lawn at Two Rivers Mansion on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Touch of Brews 2

Delaware’s Dogfish Head Brewery will provide the beers along with their corporate cousins at Samuel Adams and Angry Orchard. Some of your favorite food trucks and other vendors will sell food and crafts from booths along Shakedown Street. A kids' zone will offer arts and crafts projects, face painting and other activities to burn off some energy while mom and dad noodle dance to a long roster of bands including Kendall Street Company, Brown Eyed Women, Tennessee Warblers, Honey Island Swamp Band, New Ponies and The School of Rock All Stars.

The family-friendly and dog-friendly festival will benefit the Friends of Two Rivers organization. Tickets for the Touch of Brews Festival are available for purchase at touchofbrews.com, and until the end of July, tickets are two for the price of one — so buy yours early. As always, kids 12 and under are free to attend with a paid adult.
