Margarita Fest 2024

If you didn’t get your fill of margaritas on Drinko-de-Mayo because it fell on a Sunday this year, you’re in luck: It’s almost time for the Scene’s Margarita Festival, which is coming up on Friday, May 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at OneC1ty off of Charlotte. Sponsored by your amigos at Don Julio, this celebration of tequila and lime will feature cocktails shaken up by some of your favorite Nashville restaurants and bars, along with food trucks, DJ sets, salsa dancing and the chance to crown la margarita mas deliciosa.

Your general admission ticket entitles you to tastes of a dozen different agave concoctions so you can cast a vote for your favorite, and the available VIP upgrade adds on a dedicated entry line to get you to the bars quicker, a VIP lounge with extra seating, cooling fans and water, snacks courtesy of Pancho & Lefty’s and upgraded tastings from Don Julio. Decide how VI of a P you want to be, then pick up your tickets before they sell out, like they usually do!

There will also be an official afterparty from 9 p.m. until midnight at the Demonbreun cannabis cafe and lounge High Notes. As a bonus, your first drink is free if you open and close your tab with TabX, the app that lets you start a tab from your phone and pay at the end of the night without having to elbow your way to the bar to pick up your credit card. I only tolerate elbows from people who are actually trying to get a drink, and then only begrudgingly, so this sounds like a nicer way to pay the tab at participating local spots like High Notes, Bastion, 5 Points Diner & Bar, Mother’s Ruin and others.

iFeliz diez de Mayo!
