Sho Pizza Bar — the local Tokyo-inspired, neo-Neapolitan pizzeria that got its start in East Nashville — is planning a location for the city’s West Side. According to a filed permit, Sho Pizza will operate at 54 White Bridge Pike. An opening date has yet to be confirmed.
Sho Pizza was founded by Mary Carlisle Gambill, Ben Gambill and chef Sean Brock, and offers pizza derived from dough that is fermented for three days. The first Sho Pizza opened at 1309 McGavock Pike in Riverside Village in April of last year.
The space from which the West Side Sho Pizza seemingly will operate most recently accommodated a Sports Seasons sporting goods retailer. Nearby businesses include Turkish restaurant Anatolia, hair-styling business Great Clips and Trader Joe’s.
Chinese takeout, Neapolitan pizza, Asian fusion and Southern ice cream are coming together on the East Side
Charlotte-based Crescent Communities is developing a nearby 3.5-acre site with Novel Richland Creek.
The permit notes Nashville-based MZA Architecture and Interiors will design the space for Sho Pizza Bar.
An LLC affiliated with Atlanta-based Stockbridge Capital Group owns the West Nashville property, having paid $45.3 million for it in January 2020, Metro records notes.
