Bourbon Party

This weekend’s Antiques & Garden Show at the Music City Center will be the 34th edition of the event, which showcases antiques, art and horticulture. Think about that for a minute. If you had purchased a piece of furniture from Sprintz the year that the show first came to town, that chair would now be an antique that you could sell at the show.

Even after all these years, the Antiques & Garden Show tries to bring new speakers and events to the table every year. In addition to this year’s keynote speaker — The Barefoot Contessa herself, Ina Garten — show organizers are reprising their opening Bourbon Party with a fun evening of Jack Daniel’s products starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12. (Please pay no attention to the fact that none of the pours will actually be “bourbon,” since Jack is pretty proud of its designation as a Tennessee whiskey.)

Nonetheless, attendees will sample almost the full offering of Jack Daniel’s products, including Jack Daniel’s Black, Gentlemen Jack, Jack Fire, Jack Apple, Triple Mash, Jack Single Barrel Select and Jack Single Barrel Proof. There will also be cocktails available to enjoy while listening to live music courtesy of The Castellows, while also getting a preview tour around the showroom floor.

Tickets are $85 per person and available at the event website.
